GREENleaders Certified Sustainability Training ONLINE-Unit 1-The Case for Sustainability

GREENleaders is the most comprehensive training program available in green home furnishings, providing manufacturers, reps, retailers and designers with the knowledge and credentials to become experts in sustainability.

It is a 6-hour exam course, developed by ranking staff of Sustainable Furnishings Council. The course provides designers, production managers, buyers, and other specifiers with the knowledge and credentials to differentiate themselves as experts in sustainability. Over 700 have graduates to date. Written by an accredited LEED-CI/AP.  Approved by GBCI for 6 CE hours and registered with IDCEC for .6 W CEUs or individual modules at .1 W CEUs.

Unit 1 - The Case For Sustainability (.1ceu)

This module provides grounding in the environmental issues related to home furnishings, including climate change, indoor air quality, toxic waste, and water conservation. Source documents are public records such as the U.N. IPCC 5th Assessment Report and the U.S. EPA, translated from technical jargon into easily understood concepts with common references all explicitly linked to the furnishings industry.
