Sustainable Essentials Webinar - The State of Sustainability in the Home Furnishings Industry

In 2016 the SFC enters our second decade as an organization.  This webinar features SFC Board President Steve Freeman leading a discussion of the organization’s major accomplishments of the last 10 years, with particular attention on highlights of 2015.  Join the discussion of a mission that is truly taking hold in the industry, including a review of what has changed in 10 years- from small things such as improvements in the efficiency of lighting, to formaldehyde reduction, to removal of FR chemicals from foam in California and other states, and improved chain of custody regarding wood.  We are proud of many accomplishments and excited about the future of the organization.  Industry players in all segments, as well as their customers, are embracing the need for change, recognizing climate change as a real threat, proactively removing harmful chemicals from their supply chains, etc.  Learn how SFC plans to build on this momentum with more national and international initiatives throughout this celebratory year, and how you and your company can be more involved.
