Sustainability Essentials Webinar - The Responsible Down Standard

Join Anne Gillespie of SFC member, Textile Exchange, for a discussion of The Responsible Down Standard, including background on the development of the standard, how to implement the standard in your supply chain, and how to communicate the RDS with your customers. We will also answer any questions you may have.

The Responsible Down Standard is a voluntary, global standard developed to ensure that the strongest animal welfare practices are in place in your down supply chain. The Standard requires stringent audits on the farm, and a strong chain of custody from the farm to the final product. The Standard provides assurance against live-plucking and force-feeding in the down and feather supply chain. The Standard requires third-party audit and certification through an approved certification body. Currently ICEA and Control Union are both approved to certify to the requirements of the standard. Textile Exchange is a member of SFC and joins us in our commitment to the triple bottom line.  Content of this webinar also includes a synopsis of GREENleaders, the industry's first certified sustainability training course. This webinar is intended to give participants useful information you can begin using in your business immediately as well as answer any questions you may have about getting the most out of SFC membership.
