Nature's Legacy promotes the harmony between nature and everyday objects, its pieces seek to spark positivity and imagination, because nature is our greatest source of inspiration, and our respect for nature is at the root of everything we do. We address resource misuse heads on; not just recycling and upcycling. We have created a large-scale operational model that uses earthly materials before they go to waste.

Sustainable Materials
We make a conscious effort to manage our materials selection, seeking materials we are confident are sustainable, such as legally harvested forest products, responsibly produced plantation products, and recycled content:

In keeping with our commitment to continual improvement, we are planning to take the following actions this year: On reducing energy consumption:

2013: Replacement/Conversion of 50% incandescent lamps with CFL lamps. Promoting car pooling. Using rainwater. Compressed work week
2017-2018: The replacement of CFL lamps with LED lights. Aiming for the full use of available inverter-type appliances, devices, tools or machinery. Establishing the Mandaue City showroom which is closer to suppliers and visitors, thus, lowers our
2020: With the installation of a solar power system for a truly renewable energy source, we aim to reduce our commercial (locally-sourced) power consumption (SDG 7.3).
2020: Nature’s Legacy is the first Philippine design and manufacturing company to become B Corp Certified.

In keeping with our commitment to continual improvement, we are planning to take the following actions this year: On how we will manage our primary material or service to a more sustainable direction:

2013: Bring the machine on-site. 80% reduction in transport. People paid on-site.
2017-2018: Encouraging through incentives innovative ways of improving productivity through the application of ISTIV Productivity Program.
2020 : Continued use of a low-technology manufacturing process to reduce carbon dioxide emissions (SDG 9.4). To address water scarcity, water consumption for production to be 100% sourced from rain (SDG 6.4)

In keeping with our commitment to continual improvement, we are planning to take the following actions this year: On education and promotion of the sustainability cause:

2013: SFC Program participation
2017-2018 : Involvement with other legitimate global organizations advocating sustainability causes. Training of employees to enhance knowledge and be updated with new developments and practices. Acquiring B Corporation and other Green Certifications/Accreditation.
2020 : Ensure people have relevant information and awareness on sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature (SDG 12.8), including those in relation to climate change mitigation, adaptation and impact reduction (SDG 13.3) to support the SDGs in the country ( SDG 17.6).
