Interior Designer Robin Wilson Focuses on Green Living

In an age where every industry is going green, Robin Wilson has become a nationally recognized eco-friendly and healthy space interior designer. While there are many dimensions to Wilson’s trailblazing career, many of her efforts have focused on allergy and asthma-related issues and indoor air quality. The Austin, Texas native got her start working on the Lower Colorado River Authority, immersing herself in the Central Texas environmental issues of energy efficiency and water conservation.

GAT CREEK AWARDED 2012 SAGE AWARD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Gat Creek, a West Virginia-based producer of hand-crafted, solid wood furniture and Sustainable Furnishings Council Silver Exemplary Member, received the 2012 Sage Award for environmental excellence today.

The Sage Awards were launched in 2008 by the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) to seek out and spotlight environmental innovators from whom others in the home furnishings and bedding industries can learn. The competition is open to retail, manufacturing and supplier companies in both the furniture and bedding industries.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore Resale Outlets – The place for unique décor

Interior designers in Virginia used a Habitat for Humanity ReStore to create amazing room displays for the Home Show at the Dulles Expo Center in Metro Washington, D.C. Shopping exclusively in a local ReStore, which sells gently used and donated household material, designers crafted an urban-chic loft room, a British Colonial/West Indies-inspired master bedroom suite, and a beach room to rival anything in the finest resort homes.

Lacey Act Supporters Commit to Certifying to National Consensus Lacey Due Care Standard

June 29, 2012, Wash., DC. Leading companies and service provider Members of the Lacey Due Care
National Consensus Committee committed to provide their first legally binding certifications of compliance
to the Standard by this July: Shaw Hardwood, Columbia Forest Products, Kimberly-Clark, Knoll Furniture,
Martin Guitar, and Staples with assistance from Forest Based Solutions, Jason Grant Consulting,
Rainforest Alliance, and Scientific Certification Systems. The Standard was unanimously approved.

Quickbooks for accounts payable and receivable and monthly financial reports.
