SFC’s Susan Inglis Selected to Serve on Furniture Panel as EPA considers Guidelines for Ecolabels

SFC is proud to announce that Executive Director Susan Inglis has been selected by the Environmental Protection Agency to serve on the Furniture Panel for review of the Draft Guidelines for Product Environmental Performance Standards and Ecolabels for Voluntary Use in Federal Procurement pilot. 

SFC Celebrates Sustainable Procurement in Minneapolis

SFC is pleased to be celebrating the adoption of a sustainable procurement ordinance in Minneapolis, with a press conference and awards event at SFC member Martin Patrick 3.  The event will celebrate SFC members Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, and Room & Board as well as Pat Shea, City of St. Cloud Public Works Director, and Hon. SFC Event at HPMKT Kicks Off New Research

The Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) was pleased to host a luncheon during High Point Market for Underwriter Laboratories (UL) to announce a new research project.   Dr. Marilyn Black, director of UL, Inc. announced a project that will reveal what chemicals are used in making a given upholstered chair, which of those chemicals are present when the chair reaches the consumer, and how those potentially harmful chemicals enter our bodies, if they do.
